when the going gets tough..

let's try this again!

as a few of you may know, i had been trying my hand at blogging for the first time a few months back, chronicling my weight loss journey and my new found love for the tone it up diet plan and lifestyle. in typical sara fashion, things started getting a bit tough and i not only slacked from the diet, but also deleted the blog. about 2 months later i'm really regretting that decision and wanna give it another shot..

so here it goes!

not quite in the mood to re-write my original bio, but i'm gonna dig through and see if i can find it somewhere. from this point on, i vow to make a solid effort to not only record my weight (on mondays) but also my daily meal diary, thoughts, inspiration, recipes, etc.

when i joined tone it up in june, my weight was 160.5. (i'm 5'6") after the first 3 weeks, i was down to 152.5. i've gained 2.5 back and am currently at 155, but i'm ok with that, as i've had seem really rough days/weeks. i don't know about everyone else, but summer's been kinda rough between yankee games, 2 vacations, bbq's, and a lot more drinking than i do any other season. to say that i'm looking forward to fall is an understatment, especially with the new challenge approaching!

a few years back i took one of those quizzes in the back of a magazine and established that my "happy" weight is 142. that number has stuck in my head ever since. on a mission to reach that happy weight and then push a little farther and get to 135 by november 6th. have a wedding coming up and i want to feel and look my best! : )

one thing that has not changed since the beginning of my TIU journey, even if the scale isn't down as much as it should be, is my love for the tone it up team. i don't know how they did it, but karena and katrina have really put together a plan that has managed to attract some of the most amazing, caring, and inspiring ladies i've ever (virtually) met, and i'm grateful for each and every one of you.

today's log -

exercise - no booty call, 25 minute walk/jog
m1 - multi grain cheerios, skim milk
m2 - lemon chobani, apple
m3 - turkey, lettuce, tomato, onion, olive oil mayo on wheat arnold sandwich thin. small portion of habanero bbq almonds. baby carrots.
m4 - cookie dough larabar.
m5 - TIU choc pb shake.

i have egg whites with some sort of veggies EVERY morning. was craving the cheerios for some reason. definitely regretted not getting in that protein later when i got hungry early in the day. lesson learned!
